A Televised Reality – Thier Story

A Televised Reality formed late last semester at SUNY Fredonia. We have set out on a mission to wake up the masses. America has fostered a passive society built around commercialism and conformity; where success is judged by the dollar sign. The art of music and songwriting has fallen to top 10 singles. Visual artistic movements have been highly stagnant also. People have increasingly become dehumanized to the point of being a gear in a new machine. 100 years ago people performed repetitive tasks at assembly lines functioning only as aids to the machines owned by leading capitalists of the day. Today people are reliant upon computers and cell phones, which only serve to separate ourselves from human interaction. Cubicles and florescent lights now populate not only the work place but also our houses, built for the up most convenience. This has only served to leave our humanity further jeopardized. The goal of A Televised Reality is to break through the fake reality that so many people continue to exist in. No matter how insignificant our impact is there will be a few who will stop and think about their lives and who they are. They will in turn affect those who are close to them, hopefully in turn embracing free thought and human expression.
